About Mr. and Mrs. Helsing
We are a middle-aged couple working in demanding leadership positions in the area of information technology. In other words, we both have a career. We also have a big family, our children aging from little kids to teen-agers. The challenges related to combining family and career are most likely similar in many families. One reason for starting this blog is to show how the circus looks like for real in a techy family and how we try to balance work, family life and well-being.
We work a lot, but to balance that we like to do completely different things. We both like crafting and woodworking. Mrs. Helsing likes sewing, knitting and horseback riding, Mr. Helsing likes whittling, creative cooking and (slow) musical instrument building. We are both seasoned Pokemon Trainers, Pokemon Go is the only game we both play every day.
This is not your usual lifestyle blog. Our topics might vary quite a bit, you might be for example one day seeing some (not that serious) posts from recent software vulnerabilities and how they affect the industry and the other day story about children’s clothes design with attitude.
We are not in any way claiming that we would do everything right – quite the opposite! We screw up a lot, and often. Do not follow us, we do stupid things!
